Default Finally, sweet bejeezus.. finally

finally after driving 8 hours in the rain and saving pennies for over 3 months!

I already had the torque boxes, bullit springs on their way, just need some adjustable shocks and time to finish what I'm already doing to the snake and this will be in there.

Still need to get some sort off anti-roll bar that will allow tailpipes.

I think you might see some more of these poppin up on terminators, it's OK if I'm outa step a bit. 9" baby!

last time I'll be spending money on my diff for a while (I hope!)

Ban? ahh right.

if you have to ask how much, it's probably not for you because it cost an insane amount of money compared to swapping wth a GT and welding some straps and 9 inch ends on. the lightweight center section with Detroit locker costs 1200-1300 alone. The 35 spline axles are gun drilled and have the star flanges. exciter rings from a GT have been added so I can bolt up my cobra brakes to the modified GT mounts and my anti-lock will still work. UPR Race grade billet adjustable uppers and lowers to start with, I'll probably shred them and get something beefier eventually. It has a lightened 3.50 gearset and the total weight is around 178. thats only 17-20 lbs heavier than a hardened/strapped 8.8 so that doesnt seem to be too bad of a weight penalty to have something that is practically industructable.

ain't that the friggin truth!

Overkill maybe for a street-only or track-only car but if you want to set up the perfect Jeckle-&-Hyde Street car you have to end up with something that can do more than one job. I wanted something I could race legaly every Sunday at the track, launching 550 stang ponies at 6 Large without parts flying off and then take it out at night with the bottle heated and 650hp and be able to drive around normal roads, parking lots and crowds with a locker and without a spool chirping the rear tires. The passenger in my car has to cam-lock him/her self into low mounted Kirkeys with Simpson 5-points harnesses. I want my cobra to yank the fronts with a passenger and I don't care if they are comfortable. Having something that can change it's spots in a flash of a staging light requires a little overkill and a lot of planning.
