yea i would go with the 05 stang i love the lightnings but my dad works at a ford dealership and i got to drive a 05 gt 5 speed and it pulled pretty good for an all stock car and theres alot u can do to them now

I've got a 06.. but it's a v6.. (which sucks)
and I definitely agree on the whole "drives like a boat" statement.

Nothing new ever drives like the old.
such a shame.

Also even if you try to order a GT500 dealers have only a set allocation for them. I've heard of people getting their deposit money back due to teh dealers can't get teh cars.

Ohhh just got this in an email from Ford. If you are a Ford SVT Power Lease customer you are guranteed a GT500 allocation at the dealership of your choice.

I just drove one.....drives nice...chirps 2nd....3rd.....no problems! I actually like the ride....

Car felt heavy in the turns when I was driving it, it was great in a straight line though...

Dunno, just felt like 3 times the size of my coupe when I was driving it, maybe I just have issues
