T-5 problems-----whats wrong?

T56's really aren't as strong as people make them out to be. Yeah, they're stronger than a T5, but MUCH heavier, much more expensive, and if powershifted, will still give you problems.

After having seen your car run, I don't think a T-5 will live for long in it no matter what you do. My best guess as to what is wrong is the same as above, either the forks or blocker. I'm with Dave. Put a C4 in there. You will pick up a bunch with the proper stall.

Broken shift fork. It sheared the whole inside of it. I picked some rather large peices of metal out of the tranny. Pretty bad to say the least.
I had alot of help from a few of my friends out at real speed. Always nice to have people willing to stop doing things to their personal cars to lend a hand.

Astro Performance Warehouse is based out of Florida. we got a shift fork from them for cheap and got it the next day.

ive broke quite a few t5s
if you need another shift fork I have 2 ripped apart t5s at my shop an 89gt and a FRPP T5Z

Thanks for the offers on the shift fork. I got one out of a trashed tranny and mine is mostly back together just needs a bit of rtv and it should be done.
