Default Need assistance w/DTC code

For shits and grins I decided to run the DTC code feature on my Xcal2. "B1681" popped up on the screen. This is what I've found:

B1681 9681 PATS Transceiver Signal is Not Received (Not Connected, Damaged, or Wiring)
The car runs/starts find, leading me to believe I don't have an issue with the PATS system. No check engine light either. Any ideas what may be wrong?

Here's what I found on it,
B1681: PATS transceiver module signal is not received by the PCM. This code can be caused by circuits between PATS transceiver and PCM, PATS transceiver, or possibly the PCM.

Here's the link with the trouble shooting instructions.

It sounds like it could be the pcm. If its not causing a problem I would leave it alone.

www.obdii.com

It's a good start. If i cant get a good enough answer from that, then google would be my next choice. Has'nt failed me yet. I normaly figure it out with just the obdii site though.
But that is a very weird problem. Good luck! Pats modules are like $140 i think. Plus you have to have it reprogramed, close to another $100 i think. Unless you can find a shadey ford tech Still not cheap but cheaper.

Did you try and clear it to see if it owuld come back? Sometimes those pats modules on fords and mazdas alike have "brainfarts" so to speak with programmed keys.
