Default 5.4 Modular in a 95 TBird....

Hey guys you may have seen my bird around plant city,ive put alot of time, money, and sweat into that car.And ill never sell it.I pretty much maxxed out the potential of my stock 4.6.Since it is pre 1999, it is obviously a non PI motor.I gave a little thought into doing just a head swap, but then decided to do something radical, and that is where my 5.4 idea comes into play.
1=bigger displacement
2=not many people have done it
3=it would be a perfect excuse to ditch my beefed up 4r70w and drop in a T-5.
Yeah, that would be tits...
What do you guys think, and any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen plenty of cowl hoods on T-Birds.

as far as I know their aren't any 5.4 intake manifolds that aren't tall,(designed for a truck)

If it were me I'd put a cobra 32 valve 4.6 in it. It makes more power than the 5.4 With the 32V 4.6 you could put it underneath the stock hood. If you go with a 96-98 cobra motor you can use your stock fuel system and just replace the pump. The 5.4 is going to be more of a PITA to do the swap because of the lack of aftermarket parts.

everybody does the damn 4.6 dohc swap. i want something original, and displacement....
the 4.6 and 5.4 are almost identical, as they are mod motors, so the motor mounts and fuel system will be (almost) the same. the 5.4 offers much more torque than the 32 valve and in my opinion would be a hell of a lot funner with ????? gears.

fill in the blank guys gimme sum advice. im thinkin 3.73s, those 5.4 just wont rev like a 4.6 sohc or dohc. what do you guys think???
