4 cyl. tranny swap
im puttin a 4 cyl. T-5 in my 90' GT and wondering if i can use a 4 cyl. tranny mount,the neatral safty switch connections are different on the tranny than on the harness,and tranny crossmember does'nt line up with the mount.thanks in advance.

crossmembers and mounts are all the same. Was your car an auto car that you're convting to 5 speed? If so, you may need to grind the spot welds on the crossmember and slide it into place.
As far as the neutral switch, just swap the switch from your old tranny into the new one so the plugs are the same.

it's a 90 gt manual car with a double hump cross member,i bought a 4-cyl. tranny with the mount assuming it would line up with the cross member,i put it in today but the cross member holes do not line up with the mount,the holes sit to far back from the mount.
Mike the 4cyl 93 LX the T5 came out of had a double hump crossmember just like your GT. Everything should line up. The cross member only goes in oneway for the trans mount to line up. Make sure you don't have the crossmember reversed. If you need help give me a call..
