Sorry to hear that Mark, but I feel confident saying that this would not have happened had Chad still been at Blue Oval. Also, without saying too much, I will say there is a reason Chad left, and I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say.

Chad has always gone above and beyond for me. Call him down at C&C and he may be able to help get things straight for you.

There is always two sides to every story. Chad seems like a standup guy from my encounters with him. Im sure Chad will pipe in and tell his side. Good luck with the car and dont write off Chad just yet.

This doesn't surprise me about Jeff. He nearly took me for $210 back in 2001. I was living in NC when I ordered an Explorer upper plenum from him. I was home for 30 from the Army and ordered it the day I got home. The entire month went by and no intake. I wrote to them through email and if I remember correctly once by mail (I'd have to check). NOT A FUCKING WORD over several months after having mailed a postal money order (this saved me) to them. From basic training i wrote to the post master where I lived asking if that m.o. was cashed and it was. Damn fast, too. So I received the paperwork to file a claim on them. Well, injuries put me out of the Army later that year. When i got home I still didn't hear jack shit from anyone reference to my Explorer upper. While I was in basic training my family had moved. Dear mother moved to Tampa just outside the air base. WOW, what a coinkidink. I took my ass over there IN UNIFORM. Asked to speak to Jeff. Dude behind the counter tells me he used to own the place, but didn't anymore and called him up on the phone to come over and refund my money. I wait roughly 30/40 minutes. Not knowing what he looked like he came in and sat at that desk they have at the entrance. I was inside on the salesfloor looking at the motors and 8.8s scattered about. When the dude behind the counter told me he's there and go to the desk up front I went to find him counting my cash and he couldn't look me in the eyes when his ass said "I could've sworn we shipped you the intake." I didn't say shit back to him. I snatched my cash from his dirty hand and damn near broke the glass door off the hinges because I wanted to stomp that mother fucker's face in. I can't afford to stoop to his level, though. I'm sure he's reading this so I will take my opportunity to say Jeff,....you're a scumbag mother fucker and you need to leave the hobby. You had the nerve to "swear you thought you sent me my intake" and not look me in the eye while saying it proves you're a piece of shit. I still have every god damn letter/email print and postal service paperwork related to the issue and I'm feeling pretty evil right now. I should scan and throw the shit up. So, it's not really the business, but the fucker or fuckers in charge. Go find a better line of work already mother fucker.

The bad thing about being a soldier at the time is that we tend to forget that we're protecting the asses of fucking thievess that continue to fuck us all over as well as protecting good people. Military pay isn't all that great, either. I trained hard for the money I used to try scoring that intake.

I really appreciate you stepping up like that Chad, especially when you don't even have to. I got that impression of you when I first went to the shop, and that's why I felt comfortible bringing my car back. It makes me feel good to know that their are still people like this in the hobby, because getting screwed like that will make you think twice.
I'll have to stop by your new shop when I get the chance, hope all is going well for you.

Thanks again,

-Mark Hackett
