i have a 96 mustang and ford said my purge valve is bad can someone please tell me were this this located and the cheapest pleace to buy one.

I thought it was called a gigalator valve.

But seriously, are we talking air conditiong or something. I have never heard of a purge valve.

The only time I have hear of the purge valve, it had something to do with the emissions. If I remember right, it is on the canister..... I really can't help much on this one....

it is not a turbo. it is emmisions. when went to ford cause i had a check engine light ford said it was my purge valve.
this is what a purge valve is but i have no idea were it is

The fumes from the gas tank go into a charcoal canister and then are purged into the intake manifold and burned off. If you dont then the car will start to smell like gas fumes. The can is most likely under the hood somewhere. I know on Honda's and Mitsubishi's they are. My WRX has it back by the gas tank though
