Batt. light comes on when shifting
When I shift high in the rpm band the battery light will come on and the volt guage will peg at 18. The guage goes back to 12 and the light goes off when the rpms fall when I let off the gas. This = no fun. Ive got under drives on but not the alt. pullie. Wouldnt I need to over drive the alt. to keep this from occuring?

sounds like yout alt. is going bad I had mine do it 3 weeks ago. I upgraded to a 3G alt. well worth it and easy to install. my 0.02

in the alt. unless you own a 60/70's mustang. Just take the alt. back and replace it with a new one.
