Time-Sert thread repair for spark plug...
Okay so im' fairly sure that i popped out a spark plug tonight. Went to get on the gas a little when i was passing a car and next thing i know i hear something that sounds like an exhaust leak/ rattling. Pull over and it sounded as if i was coming from under the driver side valve cover. Car runs fine other than the noise which almost goes away at low rpms but gets a little louder at higher rpms. It was late so i just drove to my parents down the street and took my dads car.
My question is have any of you guys used the time-sert thread repair to fix this? Or would i be better off buying a new head? The time-sert repair would be cheaper so i'd rather go this route.
Also about how much would this cost to have a local shop do? I really dont have the time to do this myself plus i dont have the money to experiment and mess more shit up. Anyone have this done at a specific local shop they want to recommend or i'd guess any of them could probably do this? Thanks for any help and lets hope that maybe i get lucky and the coil pack just some how came loose or something ha.
