best rims for MT 10.5x28x15 slicks
I'm using the same D-10 wheels that Derek was, a 15 X 10 with a 6.5 B/S. The closest point of contact for me are the spring perches, but nothing a big hammer wasn't able to take care of. I have plenty of clearance around my lower control arms. I don't know what could be causing that. I have sold wheels to a handleful of NMRA and FFW Renegade guys and they all were 15 X 10 with a 6.5 B/S.

Oh hell no on the stock ones. I have had Southsides since 1991, I am on my second set since I wore out the first ones. I know when I set my car on the ground with your rims they were smack ass smashed up against my LCA's.
I have a 90 Coupe with Bogart wheels, 15 X 10 with a 6.5 B/S, M/T 28 X 10.5 ET Drags, Mega-Bite Jr. lower control arms and the rear of the car low to the point of not being able to see the top of the slick.
I just went out to the car and took a measurement. The closest point between the slick and the lower control arm is 2 1/2 inches. The only part the slick has come in contact with is the spring perch when I turn onto the return road.
Like Derek, I have never seen a problem with the slick hitting the lower control arm, even with a 28 X 15 "W" tire.
Has your housing been narrowed any?

I'm in agreement with $hawn, I would think it would hit the inner wheel well before it came close to the lower control arm.
You've got a strange one there Scott.
