My car is still screwed up, so bad now that after about 45 minutes of driving it won't go over 2000 rpms. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Dave, Tampa99GT, and I changed the fuel filter yesterday and checked the fuel pressure while it was idling and reving in the garage. Scott, you'll be proud to know I finally broke down and put a K&N in it and bagged the paper filter as well.

On my way home from Daves it started messing up about 45 minutes in. I'm thinking it's most likely the fuel pump. If it's not that a guy at a parts store suggested it could be the DPFE sensor. He said it's very common on 4.6's. The thing is I don't want to keep pissing money away chasing gremlins. If someone knows a shop that will diagnose it for me in this area I'd appreciate it.

do you know who archie is? he owns a shop on county line rd. i suggest you go to him. he has a mustang and he works on them all the time. i have never heard anything bad about the place...

 

I would think twice about taking it to Archies that guy is a hack

 

what is your reason that archie sucks, give your reason why he does,
if you have or had a problem with the zex kit that he installed why didnt you just give the shop a call, no big deal ?

ive come in a few times with kristi lee (lonigro's ex) i used to be part of the "circle k kids" so i know them all. plus i used to be best friends with kim with the white eg hatch.

I am the guy who had the zex kit hacked up.I called the shop no less then 50 times with no answer.If you want to know what was hacked up well the location of purge light, when i turned on the windshield wipers they ripped the wires out of the light.The wire that was ran from the T>P>S was laid on a hot motor an melted the location of the purge solenoid sucks .He also keep all the leftover parts that i needed to fix the hack job also there was a discount auto parts bag in the car with $15.00 worth of stuff in it an was gone when i pick up my car.As for saying i did it my self i may of said i should have done it my self because i had to fix it all.Maybe i should not of said the guy was a hack but it came out of his shop and that makes him responsible for the work.
