26 spline input shaft and a Mc Cleod clutch, CF clutch will never handle 1000 hp...

You sure about that? Have you tried a DFX on 1000hp? I agree with you if you are talking about the dual friction, the limit of that clutch is under mid 600.
I have seen many Mcloed twin discs's fail, and there is VERY little drivability to them. I personally would never run one.

I did not say come apart, just start slipping prematurely. I went through nearly every clutch out there, the DFX ended all of that.

Yeah but when teh GVW is only about 4500# that means the cars brakes and suspension are working near their designed limit

Ok,so a T-56 with an up graded imput shaft and a good clutch will hold the power and be very streetable. But,will it hold up when traction is involved with 1000rwhp?I see alot of car's making big numbers with the T-56 but they are car's that don't get very good traction.Another thought was a race preped TKO-600,but then there is the factor of refreshing it all the time.I can't see spending $4500 on a Jerico, not that there not badass, but that money could be spent on other things if the T-56 will hold up.Sorry for the questions guys,I just want a tranny that I can cruise around on a Sat. night with but also drive it to Bradenton, rip of an 8second pass, then drive it home.

You should be alright. My car only goes 1.6-1.8 60' so I am not leaving at 6-7k obviously.
This car only has an upgraded input shaft
