Most of you now by now my car was destroyed, its going to be appriased this week. I have a shit load of reciepts from over the years, plus a book that ive keep of all the service of done to it. I wanna know what I expect to get outta my car just as is. What reciepts I can and cant use. Cause honestly I have reciepts for pretty much every oil change and everytime I bought new tires, alignments. Im also gonna contact some ppl I bought parts from and have them write up bills of sale.
And is there anything else I need to know?

Hard fact of reality is that unless you had Actual Cash value on the car and the mods, you will get hard screwed with the insurance. Nevertheless, you still will only get 30-50% of the retail value of all the reciepts, total. This is the insurance business, and thats how they screw you. Now if you had all the parts appraised as well as the vehicle, you might get more of your return back along if you carried full coverage insurance. Provide receipts if possible, and hope for the best, you might get nothing being you had a car that totalled over 10,000 in mods, but the insurance company only wants to pay you 3,000.00. Thats if they are generous, but be ready to fight, see ifyou can buy the car back, and reuse the parts you put on, thats what I would do no matter what. Good Luck.

As far as I understand they have to give you enough to replace the car. Seeing a nice fox bodies are harder and harder to find be sure to show them that are for sale so you have a good range.
Also I have a friend that has a nice maybe 91 fox body hatch for sale. Car looks damn good. If you end up looking for a replacement i'd suggest you take a look at this one. It's white though and I know you wanted a blue 1.
Good luck man.

Maybe you could drink a tall glass of stfu shawn.
Seriously anyone with sound legal advice would be helpful. You might even talk to your insurence and see if they have anything helpful to say.

Mars, I'd start looking through the Corral and auto trader and wherever else you can to get values of cars similar in condition to yours. Save pictures, descriptions, etc. You'll need this to go to the bargaining table against them. Not saying it will work, but it will at least help. Be prepared to get a lawyer and fight them over this though.
