Exclamation How much and where?

I am slowly taking on the project of rebuilding/modding/fixing my 88 GT. The car started to take a crap around Janurary when I found a pretty decent leak that only got worse and worse simply because I'd always drive to Tampa for school, the girlfriend and I am a driving son of bitch, eventually from driving it a little too much with too little (water) not coolant lol(yea the leak was that bad!) It started to kill the w/pump bearings after being dry, wet, dry, wet and then my belt started getting sqeuaky, turned into a big friggen mess after one thing broke it all just followed (usually how it works right?)

long story short , I let it sit up until about 3 weeks ago just rotting away after I took it off the road and bought a Thunderchicken. I need to find out whether the block or the timing chain cover is cracked. Sounds simple, is pretty simple and I pulled off the radiator, alternator, water pump etc and am just getting ready to yank the TCC off of it to see if it is indeed cracked that way I know whether I should spend time fixing it now, or say screw it because I dont have the money or time to replace the block and rebuild it all.

Anyone know where I can get a used or even brand new timing chain cover for an 88, and how much it'd cost me? it's only aluminim, sure it's fairly cheap.

Thanks all
Chris...

Im afraid to ask what "gaggot" is because I have seen it twice now, assumed it was a typo once, now I question myself.

Yeah, Blue Oval...I'll have to ponder on that, but thanks
