Default 5.0 Tuning

86 F-150, 5.0L Fuel Injected

Modifications: Swirl Port Heads, 89 Mustang Roller Cam, 86 Lincoln 5.0 Block, EGR Deleted, Headers.

Will the computer be able to compensate for these changes or will the truck need to be taken somewhere to be tuned. If it needs to be turned where can it be taken locally for tuning?

If it doesn't have mass air then you will need to do a mass air conversion or get some sort of engine management system for the speed density.

Actually I think he'll be ok. Might have the check engine light on due to the egr being deleted. Speed density actually works good till you start changing cams to a more radical design then the 89 HO cam which wasnt much different then the 88 HO which was speed density.

You should be fine,You are leaving about ten HP on the table w/o chip/disabling of EGR but that can be addressed too.And if you are a do it yourselfer and on a budget you can installa potentiometer on the map signal return and tune a speed density set up even heavily modded to an extent. If you need any help PM or email on the particulars.
