Ok we have everything hooked up but we cant get the car to fire! we checked the box for all the connections and everything is in the right place but we arent getting any spark. has msd 6a box blaster coil, pro billit distributor. all is brand new except the msd 6a. when i tirn the msd on nothing happens. doesnt warm up or make any kind of noise is this the problem u guys think? shouldnt the msd get warm or do something when u turn the 12v on?lmk thnx

 

is the msd hooked up correctly? the 12v switched has to be hooked up to a 12v constant when ignition is on. you can check it with a test light. just put the test light where you have the ignition wire hooked up and turn the motor over and see if the test light stays light while cranking

a lot of times people turn the key on to find the ignition wire but they dont make sure it stays "hot" while cranking

 

also check your grounds.

 

90% of most electrical problems is a bad ground

 

ok i checked all the ground ran the ground wire directly to the battery and still no spark at all.

did you use the magnetic pickup? if so, you didnt hook up the white wire did you? if not box is smoked.

a way to check the box is turn the ignition on and put a jumper between the purple and green wires, it should make a noise or arc

 

ok i will check with the jumper and i live in seminole. im pickin up another one as well so if its not this im screwed have no clue. thnx for the help though
