It'd be interesting to see, I understand why some of the guys are upset but they sound like a bunch of girls they're whining so much..

I could understand from a rules standpoint there would be a large learning curve as far as enforcement, but beyond anything tied to sponsorships, etc.. I'm game with it.

If they do let the twin turbo 6cylider cars in pro-mod therules would get a fucked up.
Just an example current weight limit for an Nhra Pro-mod is 3500 lbs with driver.
Current weight limit for a pro rwd import is 2800lbs. Now would they drop the weight of Pro-mod or up the Weight of pro rwd? Because if you add that much weight to one of those imports ther is no way in hell it will run close to what Pro-mod is currently runnig.
Yeah..I'm biased because I don't like imports. But the same goes if it was a sport comp Ford or Chevy. If they change the rules just to attract sport compacts whats next??? Top Fuel Toyotas?!?!?!

The article said both V8's and 6's would run at 2800 lbs.
I'm not sure how I feel about the article. I mean, being a turbo fan, I'd love to see them gain composure, and its about damned time that the national organizations step into the 21st century. With that said, I can see that getting the playing field level will be a long tough road and will lead to alot of bruised ego's.
One thing I found interesting is the IHRA Pro-Stock record is 6.36 according to the article, but the IHRA president was quoted as saying "the imports won't come out and run in the .40's. If they do, they won't do it a second time". So if you're going to skew the rules so the imports can never win, why bother doing it at all?
