fox body weight diffrence
Just wondering how much lighter the coupes are compared to the hatches.and is there a diffrence on the old style like steve b's? 86 i belive.

The earlier cars were definitely lighter than the laters. How much is hard to say. It really depends on what options you have in the car and how much weight you take out, and on what scales you weigh it. Figure 2900 lbs for a V8 coupe though.
the weight difference isn't that big. i had an article where they weighed a hatch and a coupe with the same options and it was around 75lbs. the early cars are the lightest 79-82

What gets me is that a late model mustang weighs as much as a 80's Crown vic whose body is all steel, no urethane, no aluminum, just a fiberglass header panel, and 4 steel bumpers.
