Rear main seal gurus chime in!
Hey guys im going to be swapping out my tranny for a rebulit one and throwing in a new clutch.My rear main seal has a slow leak like every mustang in the world.How difficult is it to replace?I figure as long as i have the tranny down i might as well try it?Any advice?Pointers?Brands of seals?

Just have to remove the flywheel/flexplate they pull it out with a screwdriver. Use a Fel-pro seal, a little RTV on the outer ring (the side that touches the block) will help it seal.

pick it out....clean..install dry....tap in with wooden dowel...make sure you have your flywhell back on before you fill it with oil...
