INMHO I think these are like main girdles, some say they work some say they don't. I haven't personally known anybody running this set up but if nothing else it could help to hold the 2 halves together when the factory block splits down the middle. I run a girdle on my car and have had some big time over revs and a few healthy nitrous backfires before I went with the blower and it's still holding strong for me at typical block splitting power. Anything to help stop core shift and main cap movement has got to help, I think it would be woth a try.

I'd be curious as to how it affects oiling on the top half of the motor. Better make sure that all of your lifters, etc are oiling properly/equally as you're essentially breaking the valley up into 3 sections..
No substitute for more beef around the caps, that's where 80% of your problems would be. I ran a girdle on my sportsman block, one thing it did add was the amount of work we had to do to get the pickup and pan to sit properly.

Your engines already have a top end girdle. They are known as your intake and heads. If you haven't already read......stock block failures originate in the mains which then the cracking moves upward. Snake oil is all that is. Your money is better spent elsewhere like in machining. Get the block stress relieved, torque plated and align honed with all bolts in place. Don't skimp on balancing the rotating assembly, either.
