Default Speed Density to MAF **UPDATED**

Ok so we are trying to slap the new harness into the engine bay, mind you this is one pulled from another car that was bought with an a9L computer..not sure which year car that computer came with...93 cobra?

But anyway we are laying it in and we notice that most of the plugs are not going to mate up. So I have to drive the car around without mass air hooked up
until i get my new harness to work or the old one repinned.

Has anyone else done this swap with a harness pulled from another car? How did you fix your problems?

It makes perfect sense to me, I can get the old harness from the speed density repinned for like 150 bucks and it will be done in a day or two. I think thats the route I will take. Right now its running with the speed density computer, and its running rather well believe it or not, but the mass air definantly needs to go on...car is sputtering a bit with the e cam in there.

i gotta tell you that I did a mass air conversion kit and it was simple and easy. Just follow instructions that came with the kit and it went great. Runs great not any problems, pinned out the computer myself and it is a factory looking install. I even got my cruise control hooked up right first time. The kit was 35.00 on ebay.

yes looks like the kit, only I would have it soldered then use those connectors. Took me about 3 hours start to finish. When doing it leave extra length so if you ever put a supercharger on it and the mass air is in the fenderwell, the connector will reach.

You also need to remember to remove the hose that goes to the MAP sensor on the firewall. Then cap off the hose or (preferably) the port under the intake where that hose went to. The MAP now serves as the Barometric Air Pressure Sensor.
