In this picture the right pully on the pther side has a blower brace going from the crank to the blower, Honestly really don't no why it happend, I no you have a scat crank in your motor, The crank that is in my buddies mustang, The orange and purple one that was at track day, He has had that same scat crank in 3 diffrent motor cet-up and never had a problem at all, Scat is one of the best cranks thier are as you no, Guess it is just one of those things that happend. If you want ill take a pic of the crank pully from the other side to showe the blower brace. The blower brace is mad by Bob Kurgan who runs NMRA
EFI Renegade.
If there was a blower on the car maybe the belt was pulling the crank pulley so tight to the side of the bearing there for catching and sheering it in half .....Its possible...

We think thats what happend,
The car will be back together in about a week, week 1/2
The blower brace should take most of the load off the bearings when you tighten the belt down. We also used one of those on Craig's Renegade car. We had the belt so tight, we had to bump the engine around to get the belt on the pulleys and then we still tightened it up a few inches. It almost looks like a faulty pulley to me.
