FORD’S muscular FPV division has gained a little more edge.
The company’s designers have given its range a more defined visual presence that provides greater differentiation between the Boss 290 V8 and F6 270.
There are new front bumpers on all models with a race-inspired lip surrounding a larger lower air intake with new driving lights.
This design form is replicated in the rear bumpers of the sedans.
All Boss 290 vehicles receive 19-inch alloys, while the GT and GT-P gain twin exhausts.
In a move that is reminiscent of the classic GTs of the 1960s and 1970s, both the GT and GT-P have their badges in the upper air intake within the front bumper.
The F6 Typhoon and F6 Tornado also take up an aggressive new look with a Technik grille mesh and distinctive styling cues, while across-the-board interior upgrades keep the six FPV offerings fresh.
A six-speed ZF automatic is now offered.
Prices start at $52,780 for the F6 Tornado. The F6 Typhoon is $59,810, Pursuit $54,170, Super Pursuit $59,200, GT $62,210 and GT-P $70,410.
(Above prices are Aussie and not U.S. dollars.)

If Ford would get off the 500 and Fusion kick and bring the FPV GT to north america they would dominate the performance section.

I must be missing something though. With SVT not having any vehicles in the lineup and going through a restructing, it seems SO easy to bring the hot rod Focus over from the UK or one of the RWD cars from OZ, slap an SVT badge on it, and they are in the game while developing the new lineup. I know it would take money to convert one of these cars to US standards, but any of the engineers could do it, it wouldn't need to have SVT people on it.

The reasons they do not bring them over is because the crash and EPA standards for the Aussie / Euro cars are much lower and to bring them to US standards would make the car way to pricey for what it is.
None the less you would think they could make the motors and other goodies available in the Motorsports catalog since most of that stuff is supposed to be "off road use only".

Don't think that the changes would be all that expensive, it's just the fat bottom line that they want to keep wouldn't be feasible. Would be nice to get the parts in the catalog though..
