I was at desoto last night and just got the car back...went to launch the first time slow because of the stupid wheel hop....ran 12.52 at 113 with a 2.98 6ft time...so on the next run i decided to really heat em up and go..well it hooked when i launched at 2600 rpm and then by the time i was at 5200 the axle was gone! So now here goes another cobra irs! didnt get home til 1 in the morning wating on the tow truck and dropping it off....Atleast now ill get that solid axle...just sux to have it happen with a possible great run too!

 

ouch, damn weak IRS half-shafts

got to look at the bright side of things though. when you get it back you will be faster with the loss in weight and the added traction.

 

I thought you were supposed to put a solid axle rearend a while back?? That will teach ya.

 

i was going to, but then i was gonna do the half shaft thing..lol...oh well when its done it should be nice! especially with the nos

 

i may get some welds when i got to the track to swap but not for daily driving..

 

i had to do something original! LOL
