Talking Nitrous & S/C

My car is currently set up with a S/C, only pushing out about 6 psi, my question is can you run Nitrous with a S/C or is that just asking for trouble?

Sure you can do it, works well. What kind of internals are we working with here? If stock, don't try and make more than 450rwhp or so, even that's pushing the limits.

With the spray even a tiny ass shot cools the intake charge so much it really supplements the s/c.

you can, but know what you are doing before you do it. are you just wanting it for intercooling purposes, or are you out to get that little extra umph.

there are alot of things that come into account, as far as are you running an intercooler? when do you plan on spraying it? how much do you plan on spraying? what do you have for internals? how is your fueling?

It's basically to give the car a little more ass, too many high power cars coming out these days, I need to level the playing field again. As for the setup I have: GT40 aluminum heads, cobra intake, e cam, 30lb injectors, 75 mass air, 70mm throttle body, 255lph fuel pump and a vortech sc trim. Probably only pushing about 360rwhp currently. Looking maybe to add only 75 shot to it for a little extra power when needed.

if you are lookin for 75 more hp, then i would suggest starting at a 30shot jetting, and working upwards. but just be careful with it. boost and nitrous have different characteristics as far as cylinderpressures go.

Get a power pipe as well. Good for an extra 1-2 pounds of boost. Then spray it. Just dont get too greedy with it. I would swap to 36 or 42 injectors, just to be safe.

I do it...I use a Zex dry 75 shot and have had the car tuned. I also run 6psi. I have my timing set at 11 degrees, and with such a small shot I don't adjust the timing when I add the spray to the mix. I also use 42# injectors. If you are going to Coastal on Sat., you will see my setup and how it does on the dyno.

i would keep the nitrous low to cool the SC and up the boost for the extra power......... no need to spray a bunch when you have a big ass SC already sitting there.........

In my case, I had the Zex kit first, then bought the blower, then got it on the dyno at Fordspeed to make sure it was all safe. Also, if you change the blower pulley, it voids the warranty on the head unit.
