Default Which differental

so i already got my gears and im thinking im going to go ahead and throw in a Eaton differental while the whole thing is tore apart just to make it that much better. prolly going to do a set of axles as weel since i will be launching from a set of sticky tires and a good suspension.

so my question is which route should i go with this? Eaton posi or is Auburn better? 28 spline or 31? which girdle should i go with: UPR($109), SHM($189+$40 for the studs), or a steeda($139)?

The Eaton is better and what ever girdle is cheapest. Deffinately go with 31 spline posi and axles. I got my Ford Motorsport posi on ebay for $125 and Superior axles from Jegs for $225.

so Eaton is a deffinate......

any rear end girdle better than the next? i know SHM claims there prolongs rear-end life and promotoes better cooling and will hold more oil. but also they recommend using there stud kits with them to "get the most" out of them.

prolly just go with the UPR, it has a good postion for the drain plug and looks nice as well.

i like the fact that the Eaton's are rebuildable....

i will be going with a Eaton Posi unit or a Traction lok, Moser 31 spline axles and a set of 3:73 gears to back it up.

I have seen for myself MAC rearend girdles leak after being bolted on new out of the box. T/A and SVO rearend girdles are on in the same. T/A makes them for FRPP. The newest ones from them have a "new" recessed lettering design. I prefer the look of the older s ones like mine.

im not going with a locker, this is my daily driver for right now until i find and old beater to abuse back and forth to work. plus a locker rear-end gets on my nerves when you go around a turn and all you hear is your rear tires squealing.
