Default My New Ford

After looking long and hard for an '03+ Crown Vic LX Sport....I ended up with something almost completely the opposite.

Found this gem down in West Palm Beach. 2003 SVT Focus with the European Package. The European Package gives the stock SVT Focus leather Recaro seats w/side airbags and unique 17" wheels. It also has the optional sunroof, HID lights & cold weather package. Only 20k miles. Still under factory warranty. Overall a pretty nice car. Still has the standard SVT 170hp & 6-speed Getrag trans. Picked her up for $12.5 (sold new in '03 for around $24k with all options).

Why a Focus (again)? Loved my old Focus. I wanted something fun to drive that handles well yet still gets good gas mileage. Also wanted a car that is very easy to drive in daily commuting. This car fit the bill perfectly.

They are pretty decent for what they are. 170hp, 140ish tq. It has a "dual stage" intake manifold that adjusts runner length to give you torque just where you need it....so it is fairly fun around town.

Focus -> Xb -> 240 -> Focus -You've come full circle....

I'll be the first to say it... I told you not to get rid of the first one.

Are you going to do anything with it? Selling the 240?
Definately selling the 240. Not much planned for the SVT in the immedate future. It is pretty much a good all-around package for now. May do a short-throw shifter, air filter, and exhaust. Eventually I'd like to go with the Jackson Racing supercharger, but I don't see that being in the budget anytime soon.

Leonard...yeah finally came full circle. You'd think I change cars more often than most people change their underwear. Happy to be back in a Focus. This one has all the atributes I loved in my 2000, but without all the recalls.
