Need to fix some scratched where someone vandalized my car. My insurance plan covers vandalism so I would only have to pay $100 but I need some estimates to see if it would be worth it to file the claim. I think they could just use touch-up paint and wet sand it but it's the bumper so the paint would need to flex. I don't want it to start cracking. Anyway---- anyone personally know a good shop if fare prices?

There are some shots of the damage. The flash glazes the depth of the scratches. There's nothing but black there. So yes they are all the way through the paint and cannot be buffed out...





Also, anyone have an idea on cost to fix a muffler tip? I need my driver side tip extended by about 2". Right now it blows on the bumper and has started to discolor it. The passenger side is perfect- I just wanting them to match as far as orientation...
I assume they can cut the tip where it flares out and weld a collar in there and weld the tip back on.
Thoughts?

 

Thanks. It was a real bummer to realize that day. I work hard to keep it nice and some idiot comes and scratches it all up.

It's Steeda exhaust. It would be done before the tip flares so before chrome and still under the car. Take a look at the pic and you'll see where I'm talking about.


Seems easy enough.

 

The tips are 4" but I'm not sure about the rest of the system. It's all stainless though.

 

Try 941 Kustoms in Bradenton. They're doing my bosses fender and hood on his 02 GT. They gave him a damn good price.

 

Let me know how it turns out. I'd like to hear some personal feedback before I talk to any shops.

Man, sorry to hear that. I dont know what I would do if I CAUGHT someone in the act of damaging anything that I owned on purpose. Theres just no excuse for that.
