any thoughts in this particular model ford. worth the buy if am just lookin for a sporty model 2 dr hatch 5spd to roam around in. its between this and a 96 impreza help me out

It would be hard to argue that a 92-95 civic hatchback, any trim, isn't the best fit for this criteria. If you can get by the fact that 9/10 that you see on the road are riced out garbage pails, damn they are great for what they are, and for the price.

 

The probe has potential, people just don't take care of them. A nice JDM KLZE swap would be a great idea, or there are plenty of aftermarket accessories you can buy. Also consider this, which most dont, the Ford Probe was the best aerodynamically designed production Ford ever a.k.a.

Impreza's are ok, but expensive to maintain, and the bolt ons are expensive IMO.

 

If you want something that is going to be sporty and get decent gas mileage. While being very reliable , and not fall apart on you. Get a 92-95 civic hatch , it never gave me a single problem, they are also real easy cars to work on , parts are inexpensive and easy to come by. IMHO the EG year civics are some of the best honda's ever built.
