When calling a junk yard and looking for axles, what year aerostars or rangers do I need to look for and what specific rear end? Anf I go out myself, how I can be sure im pulling the correct axles? And what sides did I need again for the linc mark vii conversion and keep stock width?
And what is the best master cylinder to go with and have plenty of growing room? The Cobra or the V6/GT?
there was somethign else I was gonna ask but its eluding me currently

if your interested, I will be removing my Lincoln/SVO rear setup in the next couple of weeks. I will have everything, rotors, calipers, brackets and SVO length axles. let me know if you are interested.

+1 with bryan, 2 right side late 80s ranger axle ( the later years i believe were 31spline...) but dont hold me to it. You can use the master cyl from either the GT/V6 they are the same... And you do know that unless you got the ford 5lug swap for the front. You have to change spinles/A-arms to get the later year 5lug brakes to work...

The axles that are needed will be either off of a Ranger, Bronco II or Aerostar van. From an '83 to '92 4 cylinder or 3.0L V6 Ranger/Bronco II with a 7.5" rear end you will need two driver's side axles. Only the driver's side will work as the pumpkin on these rear ends is offset and the axles are different lengths (you need the longer of the two axles). It should measure 29-5/32". From an Aerostar you will need two of the passenger side axles from an 86 to 97 model. The axles are all the same so they can be mix-matched (i.e. - one driver's side axle from a Ranger and one passenger side axle from an Aerostar). You can use the brake drums from either side of the above listed vehicles but make sure that they are 9" drums. The 4.0L Rangers came with an 8.8" rear end with 10" drums - these will not work.

thanks exactly what I needed, dotn know if I will be doing the rear disc conversion yet, I might just slap some drums on there for now, my tires are almost bald and I dont feel like buying 16" tires just to buy 17" tires a month later
