4.30's
hey guys, now i know why shaun likes those 4.30's, them things are awesome, i rode in my buddys coupe and he has pretty much the same mods as me, and lakewoods, and et's and his car gets there way faster, i agree with shuan, i my car feel like a highway car now, yeah 4.30's will be next

Mark (bitemark46) has got 4.56s in his 4V Cobra. Ive got 3.08s in mine and Im sure it would be a night and day difference. I plan on 4.10s in the near future. Mark, if you read this, I want a ride.

4.30 was way too much gear in my car. i also have a c-4.
my 1/8 mile et's were exactly the same with 4.30 vs 3.73, the 3.73 made more mph
however, with 3.73 i didnt run out of rpm's in the 1/4 and the car made more mph
the 4.30's would pull through the powerband too fast.
i think i'll be switching to 3.55's top speed with the 3.73 is only about 145 mph

i had 4.30s in my car for some time when the car had a tremec in it. 1st gear is preety much useless. you dump the clutch to leave and immediately have to power shift to 2nd almost like a double clutch 1st gear was so short. when i stepped up to a big shot nitrous kit i was running out of gear before the quarter mile. 4.30s and up are really better for naturally aspirated cars but suck for power adder cars. im now running 3.90s and love the gear. i might even go to 3.73s or 3.55s in the future if i start getting crazy with the spray.
