Cool 99-up mustang

ok so i am tryin to sell my boosted 200sx se-r, whenever it sells i was considering a 99 and up mustang gt..i just have to check unsurance to see how the payment would be...i say 99 and up cause i prefer that body style better, but i guess if i can find the body style b4 the 99's i would consider it with lower miles.....my concern is that i have never owned a v8..i am learnin more about em as time goes, but im still new on the scene, i have always owned an import 4 cylinder...i have always loved mustangs, and most fords...anyway i would like to hear from mustang owners, or previous mustang owners, i want honest opinions from u guys.....i have heard gasmileage isnt too bad, or at least not as bad as i would expect from a v8, and i have heard/looked a lil bit for parts and they seem to be pretty damn cheap...can u guys just give me some basic info/opinions..any help would be appreicated......thanks, brad

in my opinion the 99 or newer GT would be a better choice. the 96-98 modular motor only have like 220hp give or take at the fly wheel. the 99 or newer have the better heads and make about 260 at the flywheel. i think the newer model could be in the low 13's with basic bolt on's. i think you would have to either head swap or power adder to achieve low 13's in the older car. if you could find a 96-98 cobra that would be best. 4-valve motor and solid axel

Flow's are always a good choice on a Mustang. I have them on both of mine and they sound great.

my 4000# crown vic with the 4.6 NPI gets around 16/22MPG it is capable of 25 on the highway, so on a mustang it will be a little better.

there are not really any N/A aftermarket intake choices unless you are looking to spend close to a thousand dollars
