hey guys, im sorry this is prob a dumb question. (im an import guy) but would a ford lightning super charger fit directly on a 351 windsor or do you need some kind of conversion for it?

 

Dont know for sure but I would guess that you would need a custom intake to put a mod motor supercharger setup on a Windsor motor.

 

yeah i very highly doubt it would just fit. mod motor vs. pushrod

If its an original lightning it had a 351w in it. So it will fit not prob. If its a new lightning no.

 

so the 1 gen lightning was a super chaged 351? fuel inj or carb? or does that even matter. this is hopefully goin on a 85 f250 with a 351 windsor. 12 inch lift, super swamper 43's. dana 60 rear. its a sick truck. it belongs a friend of mine. we just thought it would be bad as hell watchin the truck goin through a mud hole with the sound of a charger under the hood, shootin up rooster tails from the tires.

 

Call Procharger, they can put a kit together for you. They can sub the mounting bracket in their 302 kit for a 351w bracket.

 

kinda tryin to keep it cost effective.
