Default 302s...

Stupid question, is there a resource somewhere with all the differences between 302s? Also, anyone know if there are any differences in mustang 302s and explorer 302s?

Hyperucraptic pistons is what we used to call em. I believe that someone sells headers for the gt40p's to fit other chassis. What is the motor going into, Ranger?

Since Exploders and Rangers are so similer, I would try to use as many Exploder v8 parts as possible.

what i was most curious about was cr, build materials, etc... looking for one of the higher output motors, because its going to be stock for a while...

ive been reading up on the ranger station's v8 swap section, and they list hundreds of parts needed for the conversion, but i figured they sounded rediculous, since some exploders comes with 5.0s.

v8ranger- i'm swapping into a 93-00, waiting to see what comes up at auction or friend's dealership as a trade in. im kinda picky and on a budget, so it'll probably take a while. looking for a extended cab shell, preferably stepside, with a/c & p/s at the least... i can always add power options inside.

-edit-
to boot, i don't know a whole lot about 302s, and i'm trying to research information on mods and the motors themselves. all i do know for sure, is i do want to run a 5 speed, f/i.

93-97 require adapters to get the engine in...this is not a big deal, you can find them in summitt jegs etc...
98-present .... if its a torsion bar front you can use all of the explorer v8 parts including mounts and accessories...literally everything.
98-present coil spring front trucks currantly have no mounts commercailly available. you would be on your own.
302s have basically been the same since 1982...with the exception of adding a roller cam in 1985. im speaking of the bottom end,block,crank...
