Whatever you do, if you have a 5.0 fox body do not throw away your motor mount nuts. Ford has stopped carrying them. I am having to order a new set from Late Model Restoration. I didn't know my energy suspension didn't come with the damn nuts. Anyone know where I can get them without ordering them? I checked the local hardware stores, I can't seem to find anyone under the age of 65 to help me. Are they metric or standard?

 

Do you mean the bolts that bolts the motor mount to the block? Those are 5/8" head bolts.

 

pull 'em out of a junkyard? ....... seems to be the best advice i've got to offer, other than ordering them new ford quit making fox body parts 4 or 5 years ago.


try finding a seat belt bolt for a '66 coupe because you got in a rush and stripped the fuckin' thing........

 

i belive he means nuts not bolts.

no, this one is gold anodized, but its got some red paint on it from when my car was painted

 

thanks for the offer but everything on the car is original and a bolt that wasn't correct would look way out of place. pat said there was a bunch of fox bodys out at cophers, you could get your MM bolts there for sure.

 

looks like I am having to go the junkyard route....... which cophers are we talking about?
