i need a clutch and a fuel pump for my 96 cobra.maaaaaaaaaad slippage
i know i have an aftermarket clutch in my car but am not sure what it is. i dont have time to see if i can reuse the flywheel so i just want to buy maybe a centerforce clutch kit. what kind of clutch do you recomend? what is the the best place to get one @ in the tampa area?

Well for starters it may not be a fuel pump. I see you have aftermarket coil packs. All aftermarket coil packs suck. All the mod motor racers especially the ones in the single digits use the stock ones. If you have your stock coils put them on or find someone who has them and swap it and see. Also check your plugs first. As far as your clutch stay away from Centerforce. I had a Centerforce Dual Friction and it started to slip my 2nd time out to the track. I now have a spec stage 3 and it's bad ass. Not really street friendly but it's cool to chirp 4th with slicks.
I have some advice too on your future mods. If your gonna stay n/a porting and polishing your heads would be almost a waste. 96-98 DOHC commonly refered as "B" heads flow great but lack velocity. So opening up the ports won't help much. However, if you plan to put a power adder on the car down the road then the "B" heads would be great. There's guys in the 8's on untouched B heads. Same thing goes with the cams if your staying n/a. Best mods would be gears, LT's, off road H pipe, JLT cold air intake, pullies, and a chip so you can have your timing and a/f tuned to your mods. -Mark

i have a King Cobra Clutch, Extreme Firewall Adjuster, Triple hook quadrant, and HD adjustable cable all from UPR all BRAND NEW. I sold my 96 cobra before i got a chance to install these. They're yours for $200 if you want them (cost me $300 and they've never been near a car) I'm located in Lakeland. Let me know.

i do have a 4.11 gear /pullies/cold air intake ... i am thinking about a chip but do not know which one.
i just ordered a spec stage 3 clutch and a walbro 255lph fuel pump
and i did change the plugs/wires .... i was thinking it was the coils but multimeter told me it wasnt. i also ripped the dis-2 msd ign out along with the blaster coil deals b/c they were making the car act funky. i took it to bill currie and they tested the fuel pump and said it was that.
i have a steeda quadrant and i ordered a cable with fire wall adjuster(but thanks any ways 1996svtcobra)

I'm in the town and country area. We could meet up on the Saturday Ford Forum meet. I need to take my car out more anyways. Well that's good that you had Ford diagnose the fuel pump. 4.10's are a pretty good gear for the street. Good move on removing the msd. For some reason they suck on the mod motors. Good luck with the car. -Mark
