Default changing turn signal on f150

Ok I just got a 2001 F150and the turn signal is out. How do you change it? The headlight is obvious but the turn signal seems like the whole housing needs to come out to change the bulb but I don't see any bolts to take out. Any help would be great. Would look in the owners manual but it didn't come with one. Thanks.

You remove the headlight.. and the turn signal comes out right behind it... Actually you dont even have to totally remove the headlight, just take the brackets loose from the mounts.... do 1 side at a time, so you can look and see how it was togther for refrence.

no need to remove the headlight, don't even touch the headlight. remove the single bolt for the corner at the top then with alittle force pull the corner out (pull towards the front of the truck). no big deal.....

Are you talking about the star-shaped one? I did remove that but it didn't seem to do anything. Being that its my dads truck and he just got it I didn't want to break anything. So do I just need to use some more force or what? Thanks again.

yes, it is the star-shaped screw. That is the only thing you need to remove to take out the corner. The only things holding it in now are two metal tabs that will pop out with alittle force.

OK I got it out, thanks. Problem is that it didn't do anything. Still doesn't work. Now the turn signal light on the dash also doesn't work and I thought that maybe it doesn't work when an exterior signal was out. But maybe thats the light thats out and it causes the exterior one not to work? I checked the wiring and its fine, only other thing could be a fuse but I doubt that each signal has its own fuse, right? I don't have an owners manual or fsm so where can I look to find a fuse diagram? Thanks alot.

Good call asking about the parking lights. Yes the same bulb works for the parking lights, just not for the turn signal or hazards. Guess I'll give pulling fuses a try to see what I come up with Nothing else to really try.
