My thing is, that Neon BLOWS by the cobra.

Cobras run mid 12s stock. That looks at least like a 3 second difference if i remember correctly, I dont feel like watching it again.

Sure, eatons are weak on the highway, and sure, that Neon might have a gigorno highway turbo, but we'll never know.

I never said that you did say anything against an SRT-4. That was a generalization in this post that there is no way an SRT-4 beat a Cobra. You are taking GsEclipse02's numbers that he filled in. Sorry to say, but those numbers probably don't pertain to that exact car. I never said 13.1 is fast. A low 13 is, however, not bad for a 4 cylinder. I agree many stock cars do run that and faster, but not in that price range (Your comparison to a car with an LS1 engine). Given that the car is cheaper to purchase, the owner usually finds it easier to afford modifications to the vehicle. For example, an intercooler/turbo/fuel management upgrade for an SRT-4 is in the neighborhood of ~$3,500. The power that can be made from this combo is around 500 HP. Not bad for a total cost of under $28,000 NEW. 03/04 Cobras were sold for $35,000 factory. Don't think that I'm trying to change the subject, I'm just giving an example of what could have happened in this case. Nitrous is also an option. I'm sure that you know a Terminator is the name given to 03/04 Cobras. My reason for asking that is to simply find out if you have any seat time in the type car you say is "sandbagging" in a video or not.

With a good driver, yes. Is it possible that a bad driver in a stock/nearly stock Cobra + a decent driver in a modded SRT-4 = disaster for the Cobra?

My Cobra should run mid 10s, yet I (terrible driver) run 13-14's typically, yet I can fly right by a 600cc bike on the highway.

They raced from 2nd gear up, the Cobra is a 6spd, the SRT4 is a 5spd

This means one of the cars was very far from their "sweet spot" and I guarantee (from my experience racing my T56 TransAm) that it was the 6spd car, like usual. Too high for 1st gear, and at the very, very bottom of 2nd gear whereas the SRT4 was I'm assuming mid 2nd gear, or even higher.

I used to utterly hate racing turbo 5spds with my 6spd, it felt so unfair that I had to start at the very bottom of a gear when they'd be right where the turbo spools.

But, like I said, who knows what happened.

I only had 3.42s in my T56, I'm not sure how more "fair" it would be if I had 4.55s/33s (I forget GM gear ratios)

at runday Sunday a few weeks back I was talking to a guy who had a boosted Neon SRT-4 and he was running 12.50's. I thought that was pretty good for a Neon.

+1. Slow Poke is nearing 11's. That is getting down there. Especially for a street car.

I highly doubt those numbers are from a stock SRT-4 with bald tires. Here is an example of a stock 03/04 Cobra taken off of SVTPerformance.com:

60' 1.881
1/4 12.82
MPH 109.26

Of course, modded like Z06_Killa..
60' 1.598
1/4 10.668
MPH 129.53
