Explorer Intake Install Questions
the Heads are in the shop ... my typhoon intake is ported and would be way over kill... and I dont feel like going through there and swapping a cam.
I've removed quite a few stock intakes and theres always been this thick black gunk shit on there from the thousands of miles of driving... if this Explorer intake where to have that what would I use to remove it?
what gasket part numbers should I get and I wouldnt mind touching up the lower a bit to a larger gasket...
I also need most bolts for the intake and gaskets to install the 65mm TB. can I buy all this at a local speedshop?
and last but not Least ... with the explorer intake (gasket matched) maybe a slight bit of porting and a 65mm TB net about 20rwhp?
I want more power.. above 5k as well too..
how much does it normally cost for all the gaskets?

without another cam all the headwork and intakes in the world won't net you much higher rpm power w/o a cam swap.
Don't get me wrong, you'll make a bunch more h/p but it wont want to pull muck past 5k with the stock cam.
