Default 99 mustang's good?

Im looking into buying a 1999 Mustang gt. It has 80k miles, im just wondering about how long on the parts on a mustang good for before they start causing you money. I have a 2001 focus with 72,000 miles i bought it with 25,000 and since i had it, it has only cost me 150 for the thermostat casing. (KNOCK ON WOOD) maybe the mustangs are good like the focus. My friend had a 1999 v6, and he told me that thing was a POS but i think it was because he ragged on it alot, took it offroading and shit. PLease help me out.
Plus im selling 2001 focus zx3 with pacesetter header and magna flow exhaust, gold, manual, 72,000 miles, please give me a reasonable offer.
