Wondering if anyonme had ever had to replace the Intake Manifold Runnercontrol solinhoids, Just dropped my truck off at ford, they want 600 to replace the solinoids, Im not evan sure if it due to vacumm or the solinoids, FWI I just had a new motor put in and they re used my old parts thus leaving them out for the cost of fixing it, from what i can gather Its just a matter of removing the intake, etc and replacing them? Im not sure but if anyone could place some light on the subject I would be apprechietive, Thanks Cole

 

Must be a 4.2.

Never replaced one in a truck but on a 3.8 Mustang it sucks.
The actual R&R isn't that hard. Pull the upper manifold to access it 3 bolts to remove it. The third bottom bolt is the PITA. May have more working room on the truck though.
