another 302 question

Arrow another 302 question

I was looking on ebay and a few other place's for a 302 5.0 roller block.
How do I know if it is a roller block?
Is there a serial # or somthing I could look for?

You'll notice that the lifter bosses are taller. Part # should be start with E5 or later.
Most of the later Mustang blocks have XXX stamped in the lifter valley.

yea, the block will have E7TE or e6 etc. stamped on it........

look for threaded holes in lifter valley or dogbones on lifters

I do because I'm the sheeat. You'll find the E7TE cast into the block where the starter is supposed to be. With the starter in the way it will be hard to see if able to be seen at all. Down in this picture at the bottom right on the block.

most of the newer 5.0 blocks have xxx or yyy stamped in the lifter valley
