Are there any free mods i can do to my mustang gt. its an 02. if I remove the part of the air box heading into the fender, will this do anything...both positive and negative effects?
that is the air silencer, removing it will let a bit more air in, but you should do that and a k&n to see any real difference.......

there is really no free mods to do except the removal of the air silencer, anything else and you going to have to spend a little bit of money.....when you change your oil next time put in some Royal Purple full synthetic oil and it sould give you a few horse's.....

yeah, 4.6 dont have as many free mods, but then again have more power out of the box,
see with a 5.0, you can adjust the timing, TPS, remove the smog pump etc...
with the 4.6 the timing cannot be adjusted without an adjuster, the TPS could be but the housing doesnt really leave room to widen up the holes, and the smog system on the 4.6 isnt really a restriction of any signifigance.......
but just remember, when you do start modifying things, the 4.6 has alot of easy access to parts lines etc that are not so easy to acess on a 5.0, the 4.6 is alot easier to work on than a 5.0 IMO but then again, everything costs twice as much.....
