imo ... better than the b cam...

since you have a f cam lyin around.. sell that for $100, then get an ed curtis cam (or really any custom grind) .. you will be much happier ... just my $.02

And how much better do you think you car would run rubberneck, with a custom grind???
I know I am building my DART 331ci now, and no way in hell will I stick an off the shelf cam in it. If you paid 2000.00 for your block and 1800.00 for your rotating assembly such as myself I think I can spend the extra 125.00 for a good bumpstick. Just my opinion though.
your right, there is alot more potential with a custom grind, however, i was trying to emphasize the fact that even though there are better cams out there, not all of them idle at 700 rpm and my alphabet soup cam is very streetalbe. plus, when your drunk at 2am, the ball bust meter goes through the roof. where did you get the dart block, thats my next step, so i dont bust my block in half.

are the gt-40p's worth it?the damn headers are expensive. picking all these parts up this week.and are they a big improvement over the regular gt-40's ?150 difference in the header price and can get the regular gt40's for 300.

Its all good Rubberneck. And with the F cam costing you nothing its proven to work for you, and obviously it worked well. I got my Dart block from a racer on NMRA. He was selling all of his stuff to get out of racing, I ended up picking it up for 2000.00 shipped to a terminal in Town & Country. And he threw in the lunati dogbone lifters for free and already had the lifter bores brushed and the oil galley casting flash removed and polished, saved me almost 450.00 . Good buy, being everyone wanted upwards of 2100.00 not including shipping for the block alone, it still needs about 300.00 of machine work though. Very well worth it.

Stock for stock they are nearly identical, the p's make a bit more compression though.

FreakyFast, definetly go witht he GT40P's. You can actually use regular headers with the P heads but you will need a 90* plug boot on plug 3 and 7. Also to remove the sparkplugs you will need to take a spark plug socket and shave about 3/4 of an inch from the spark plug socket, bench grinder works wonders. Then you can use this socket to change your plugs, if you were to use a regular socket, you would be S-O-L and it would hit the headers and be impossible to take them out. Anyway, the P's are more effecient than the standard GT40's, compression wise. If the money is available I would mill them .030 replace the valves to a 1.94 in/ 1.54ex valve get a valve job done, replace the springs and the locks and retainers. I can hook you up with someone who can fuly race port them, and also the same person can hook you up with a custom grind cam, not my cam builder but this guys cam and portwork are very superior. Were talking some cash on this job, but you will have a head that will outflow just about any stage 2 port job on an aluminum head.

need a cam-was going to buy a stage 1 tfs but if a custom cam isnt too much then I might be open to it. which headers were you talking about will fit because I tried using a set of flowtech's and they were not ever gonna fit no matter what. and the mac's I hear you have to almost bend them in half to make them work but I havent seen the bbk ones.
