stock for stock there no reason to do the swap, the ohc 4.0 is a really good motor. same hp/tq as what you want to put it. not to mention your truck wont be worth shit when you done.

If you're not doing it yourself then you need to call around to the speed shops in the area for pricing. There is no exact price for a swap of this kind.

if you have all the wiring, harnesses etc........ it could be cheap.... did they dup 5.0's in that platform you have?

also, why put the 5.0 in there, as said the 4.0 is a good motor........

best thing i can tell you if you are going to stay EFI is to get a donor car or make sure you have EVERYTHING you need from one....... if not it will nickle and dime you to death...... getting the motor in probably wont be that hard, but getting it to run right etc..... thats the hard part......... also your going to ruin the value of your car.....

remember, your going to have to do alot to get your windows, speedo, tach and everything to work right.........

you'll probably have to run both computers, one for the chassis and one for the motor, it will be a big wiring ordeal, for basicall a super small gain in power.... if any really....... i'd spend your money on the 4.0l they make superchargers and other aftermarket stuff for it if you want it to go faster........

well the reasoning behind this swap is b/c there is a few things u can do, but the motor itself can only hold about 300hp, and the stuff they do make for it runs alot more expensive then it does for a 5.0

Exactly, don't destroy your vehicle man. Go get an older explorer, or go find one with a blown engine, don' ruin yours, unless you are rich or something and don't care.
