Thanks, I think I've got one already, but I'll keep my options open

Did you win the air optimizer on Ebay? I just got my car running right with it now I just need to get the car on a dyno to be sure everything is safe. The optimizer was kinda tedious to dial in (took me about a week off and on), but now its all good.

Nah, it went up to high. I can get a new one whenever I want for the same price as the one on e-bay so I've just been weighing options before I went and bought it.

i think that if you can find a piggyback unit that works with your computer that isnt going to cost an arm and a leg go for it......but in my honest opinion, the F.A.S.T. system is unbeatable, had it on my old racecar and you couldnt beat it with a stick...

on the other hand, if you can only get a chip, i recomend coastal......got my diablo chip from them, 399.00 for the chip, burn, tune, and 3 dyno pulls.....

Damn, that is almost $300 cheaper I've heard from 2 other shops, is that for the Evolution flip chip?

With what you want to do, go with something like the MegaSquirt. Cheap and effective.

I've thought of megasquirt. From what I've seen, not too many people are happy with it and it's supposedly not very reliable in a daily driver in the Florida heat and humidity. I'm probably just going to be patient and get the SCT Pro-Racer package that gives me complete timing/fuel control as well as many other controls on my stock ECU via my PC or laptop. Either that or an MSD DIS-2 and some sort of AFC. It seems as though there isn't many options out there other than just the universal kits lol.
