In need of some skinnies
I'm looking to get a new set of skinnies for the car. I was going to get the pep boys el cheapos (Futura I think) but I think they are not speed rated above 100mph. My rims are 15x4 and was looking to get 165/xx/15. What is everyone using for their skinnies? I saw the M/T Sportmans but they wanted damn 95$ a piece. Any ideas? -Mark

Go on www.tirerack.com and punch in your size and a speed rating of at least 120. This is what I did when I needed some tires. Can't see spending the money on "purpose built" skinnies if there is such a thing.
EDIT:
I jst checked for you and there are a bunch for under $75. Just make sure to geta 65 - 70 series rires for extra roll out and so it does not look like you are rollin' on blades.

OK found some cumho had to, anyway, their 165/80/15 and rated up to 118mph. Is 80 too much of a sidewall? I don't want to look like bigfoot? -Mark

I was just going to say I've got my front runners i'm selling, but need to get the one off of the bad front rim and check it out. they're for drag racing mainly, but i know people have used them to run in the True Street competition.
