1/8th mile times
I figured I'd baseline the car again before the car goes down for the turbo install. To my demise my car ran real horribly. I thought maybe it was a fluke 2 weeks ago so I went again tonight for a short bit. My car is running rediculously slower than 8 months ago. My old times were between 10.3-10.6 at 67-69 mph.
Recently the best I can muster up out of 8 runs is an 11.18-11.3 at 62-63 mph. The car has new Iridium plugs, new wires, new coil. I did an injector flush and an induction flush today to see if that would help. The car feels better, but didn't run any better at the track
.
I think I have a bad wheel bearing that needs to be replaced. The exhaust still isn't finished (4-2-1 header to stoc exhaust, same as when I last ran at the track) And The front motor mount is pretty worn, but not gone yet. The least I could expect with a body that has 196,000 miles on it.
The idle has been kind of foggy lately as well. Up and down, almost like a bad MAF, but the readings seem to be correct according to the computer. Do you guys think a bad front wheel bearing could make me lose a full second and 5-6 mph in the 1/8th? Or maybe the combination of a MAF and wheel bearing possibly? Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

if it makes you feel bettrer I coasted to a 12.2 @44mph in the 1/8th so you are not going that slow
maybe track prep and weather?

Motor has about 55k on it now, hopefully it's not tired yet
. The body/electronics have 196k on them however lol. That's why I'm thinking the MAF/various sensors may be the culprit. I did an injection/induction flush while I was at work and that seemed to help the idle/driveability some, but something just doesn't feel right. I notice my fuel pump making a light whining noise now that it has never made before so that could be it as well. I hate OBDII cars, too many variables
.
I might start taking out my little electronic gadgets I put in about 2 years ago.
I.E. Potentiometers inline in the IAT and ECT sensors to fool the car into thinking it's running colder than it is, advancing the timing and bumping up the fuel. Split port motor controller button that opens up my secondary intake ports on demand or lets them open stock if I don't press the button.

Why would I replace the car? it's got 50k on the motor/tranny *sighs*
I'll replace the motor as suggested since I have the money at the moment to do it.
