Default Gutting cats in an 02 gt

I have heard of people just gutting there cats on the car instead of cutting them out or getting new pipes. I was just wondering how this is done, i have been checking it out and I figured I would just unbolt the factory H-pipe from the header and then on the other side, then bust out the inside of the cat somehow, that is where I am stumped, how would you bust it out through the bend in the pipe??? its not a sharp bend, but still somewhat of a bend. Thanks in advance for the help

just get a big rod, and hit it from each angle, a freind of mine did it and it was very easy, its just like plastic honecomb material in there, very easy to bust out.........

just buy like a fence post rod at home depot or find like a 1" diameter pipe of somesort.........

Don't gut the H-pipe man. It'll sound really shitty. Not only will it sound bad, but I was going to do this on my cobra until I found out the H-pipe retails for about $800 because of the cats. Just find someone that wants to trade an o/r pipe for the stocker or something.
